Garden parking Sat Oct 21st (first w/e after shuttle stops)

Last year we hiked from The Garden the w/e after Columbus Day. Trails were very busy. First shuttle was full and I had to wait for a second to get to The Garden.

This year we're hiking from The Garden Sat Oct 21st, 2 w/e's after Columbus Day and the first w/e without shuttle service.

Does demand dramatically drop that w/e and therefore the shuttle stops running? Or will demand still be high and there will be almost zero chance of parking at 9:00?

I would say weather-dependent. Get a nice "Indian Summer" weekend, and it will be jammed. OTOH, if there's snow on the ground and it's 30 out, not so much.

Trying to talk people into coming down Friday.

Bennie's Brook to LWJ Friday to avoid parking issues. Something short and fun on Saturday. Giant and RPR on Sunday.
