Question Dacy Clearing

Does anyone know if the road from Hogtown to Dacy Clearing is open and drivable? And has this dirt road hardened enough so driving on it won't create ruts?

Thanks

Read a post on FB that it is NOT open yet, but the road down to Shelving Rock is.

Shelving Rock Road

Drove past the turn off from Route 149 yesterday. Big sign said "Shelving Rock Road Closed." There was no info as to where the road was closed but, at the very least, I would guess that the road from Hogtown to Dacy Clearing is definitely closed. I do not know if you can even get to the Hogtown turnoff.

They've been pretty good at taking that sign down when the road gets open, but a bit slow this year, I guess.

You can drive up to the area of the old Hogtown church and park in that vicinity and walk to Dacy or Sleeping Beauty, but there are NO PARKING signs on that stretch of Hogtown Rd. You'd have to park south of the signs, or on the old mountain road that goes to Ft. Anne.

From the DEC Website...

The Town of Fort Ann has reopened Shelving Rock Road for mud season. Sleeping Beauty, Shelving Rock, and the Buck Mountain East Trailhead are now accessible. (4/4)
Dacy Clearing Road remains closed at this time due to muddy conditions. (4/4)
