Leaving On A Jet Plane

And I don't know when I'll be back again. So sad but true, I am leaving the Northeast to find my way in Los Angeles. One of the things I will miss most is the close proximity to the North Country and being able to go up and enjoy all the things I love about that place.

If anyone on this board is on the West Coast, look me up, I need some hiking buddies. Of course, I am going to be checking in every day to keep tabs on oversized hiking groups and the legality of scraping moss from rocks! Seriously though, I love all the topics related to the Blue Line.

If anyone has good hikes out West, let me know as well. I am hoping to synthesize my experiences out there with the great times I have had in the ADKs (not sure how yet) and will be writing a blog http://adkinla.blogspot.com

See y'all again in a few days once I get out there and a few hours "behind"!

You can post interesting topics like "using chaparral safely as a firestarter".

The Santa Monica Mountains will provide interesting fodder for mountain biking and hiking (can't we all get along).

And Angeles National Forest could be your test kitchen for AT skis.

Theres plenty of hiking out there. But it will be different! The "keeping clean" part will be too!

Oh yeah before you leave on that jet plane it seems TSA wants to fondle you.

Thanks for all the well wishes! I am here in LA today and it is 75 and sunny which is a bit mindblowing. When I was flying in, I found some cool ADK-like places which I can't wait to explore.
