I love this stuff. These aren't necessarily my 10 favorite records, but they would be essential in a collection of only 10. In no order:

Beatles - "White Album"

Husker Du - "Zen Arcade"

Rolling Stones - "Let It Bleed"

David Bowie - "Space Oddity"

Frank Zappa - "One Size Fits All"

Pink Floyd - "Meddle"

REM - "Reckoning"

Yes - "The Yes Album"

The Grateful Dead - "Ladies and Gentleman...The Grateful Dead"

Guided By Voices - "Under the Bushes Under the Stars"

There is some great music listed here, and you've certainly made it hard to choose 10 from all of those listed before.

There is one glaring omission - the self titled album from Captain Beyond (1972)

I can't be the only one to know about this.

... and now I want to add Joe Bonamassa's Blues Deluxe to one of my lists.

A Top 20 List just isn't going to suffice.
