One of my neighbors pulled his taps yesterday. My other neighbor and myself are going to give it another week. It hasn't ran much in the past week but I think it will in the week ahead.

I've only made a gallon, but I am a traditionalist and don't tap until the day after Town Meeting Day in March. It's been too cold. However, this week and next week look like some ideal sugaring weather, so I'm hoping for another 2-3 good runs. I typically make 6-8 gallons every year.

Boiled final batch of maple last night, taps are pulled. Tapped a couple white birch trees and that sap is flowing well.

This is has been a great discussion and it's been interesting to see how our seasons vary depending on where we are in the North Country.

Interesting the variances in the run. Our sugar house got going in Feb for a couple of weeks. Then a cold spell stopped it about Feb 25 when the temps stayed below freezing for a month. It resumed 3/25 and just now is finished.. some haven't pulled yet. I'd think with above freezing at night and too hot during the day all is done

But I am in Maine..
