Cod Pond in the Wilcox WF broken out

There's a solid 3' of snow in the woods along Rte 8. I skied the trail to Stewart's Bridge and then to Cod Pond, but didn't complete the loop. I was breaking 12" of packing snow from Wednesday's storm all the way. No crust on the snow, just great wettish powder, deep. Fischer Outtabounds skis, 88/68/78, Bring your longest ski poles!

I was thinking of heading in there this week after we shovel off the roof of the cabin.

Three FEET! That's a lot of snow.

Maybe we'll just hang around the cabin and drink coffee.

When all of the gullies and wet spots on that trail are well covered for skiing, you know we have good snow. It's here. Good idea to shovel the roof.
