Heads Up - Tahawus, Upper Works TH - Apr 10-18, 2018

If you're planning on using Upper Works Trail Head or hiking in the area, plan on Army activity...

Falcon’s Peak exercise to utilize (former) Tahawus Mine.

Should be great for photography, not so much for solitude.

Thank you to the 10th Mountain division (and anyone else participating) for your service!

Silly me. Thought Falcon's peak might be a location. Wrong it's just a name.

I did uncover another new article. http://www.adirondackdailyenterprise...peak-exercise/

The Tenth Mountain Division has come a long way since my father was in it during WWII.
God Bless Our troops. You guys Rock!
Denver Public Library has a digital collection of historical pictures of the division from the origins on Mt. Rainier, through training in Colorado, and fighting in Italy. In case anybody is interested.
