That's a great photo wildriver.

billandjudy, I think the mini rhodendrun is leatherleaf. I'm not 100% though because there's another plant that looks similar. Was that photo taken in a boggy area?

Forgot about the Joe Pye Weed.

Personally, I think it's a pretty flower, especially in bunches when it fills up river and lake banks.

Interesting time of the year right now. I was at Round Pond this weekend on my way to Round and Noonmark and there are both wildflowers and foliage in the mix. The Joe Pye Weed on the south shore was looking pretty ragged though!
