Those are great shots Edelweiss. I had hopes of taking advantage of the change of clocks and doing an Adirondack hike, but my wife wanted to take advantage of the clocks for some much needed rest.

So today we did Prospect and you are right there is a bit of color left in the Lake George region.

Crossing the Northway on that bridge was a unique way to begin a hike. The traffic sounds were deafening and looking down at the cars through the grate as we crossed was a little bit unsettling. It was good to get into the woods on the other side. There were some beautiful views at the summit and along the road which we took part way back down the mountain.

Rivet - Your photo is amazing. I hope you don't mind that I'm using it as my background!! The distinct and vivid colors with the ice, snow and rock of the mountain has me hoping for an early winter.
