I can`t seem to visualize KWC`s and ADKWiley photos, is there something wrong with my computer?

Doug, Wildbrookies, and others,

It is my understanding that most attachments, including most photos and avatars (not links TO photos) were lost during the recent upgrading of the Forum software. See Kevin's explanation elsewhere on the forum.

Kevin - great shots up above. The sky is blue and the snow is white, not easy to do.

I under exposed so I have some detail to work with later. A lot of the time digital tends to oversaturate the white/bright elements. In doing so you lose detail and color, as you said. The Pentax I'm using (Optio SV) is also a top notch point and shoot, I'm very pleased with it.

Serotonin/sacco, were those during the October snow storm? Looks cold/wet, but I don't see any ice forming on the shores. Nice shots nonetheless.

this is a very entertaining thread...I am really enjoying the photos.

Winter is really quite beautiful, as it etches the landscape. But, Serotonin, standing in cold water while it is snowing seems a little masochistic...! The facial expression in that shot supports my argument!!

Actually, Serotonin's reaction is: "Boy, these things sure are slimy!"

I too, see some entertainment value in this. Perhaps for different reasons.

Ha! ...yeah, right.
More masochistic than sumbody gruntin' up a mountain...???
And for which particular god-forsaken reason would that be For...?!!!

Trust me... mere snow is not the issue.

Yeah. I guess so. 45 mph winds from the East will do that to a face.
Especially when it's casting slivers of ice.
Of course, I forgot my leather-mask at home; in my warm bed.
Just kidding. I left it there on purpose!

Now, if you've never had the pleasure of holding a fish on a day like that,
You may not know how warm a heart can get...

(Ain't slimy at all, Dick).
C'mon in... the water's fine.

Six-inch slabs of ice floating by Daisy today.
Clear as a bell and Very gentle-like...
Until it's 500 lbs hits something!
Get's you're attention real quick.

SLAB!

Slabs do that.

O! There you go w/the masochistic stuff again!!!
Hey baby... Pain and Pleasure.
They are the same force.

The Buddhists speak of the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities.
Daisy lays down on a bed of ice.
She can feel; she knows it's ice.
But the look on her face says warm soft feathers.

I try to learn from the dog.

But she has fur, and buddhists have a lot of self-discipline through a lifetime of training...
