Holy thread resurrection, Batman!!
Tomorrow looks to be a great powder day...a forecasted 6-12 on the way over a surprisingly decent base.
I plan to ski back country tomorrow on AT gear, at my favorite Taconic spot. If anyone is interested in joining me, send me a PM. I'll likely go mid day, no rush, the powder will surely outlast me!

Today there was 8 inches fresh on a firm (not crusted) base. With skis off, I sunk in to my knees.
High winds and a bit colder than I expected.
Mostly untracked, some nice, velvety smooth stuff, lots of deadfall under foot.
A couple peeks from the sun...it felt great to get out, and I'm almost surprised that I still enjoy the skin up as much as the ski down!
