  • Still no Indian Lake north-end canoe access?

The Discover the Adirondacks guide book that covers Indian Lake hinted at possible future canoe launch access at Indian Lake Dam road, allowing access at the very North end of Indian Lake. I checked it out yesterday, and there's no parking area, or access that I could see; just a private residence and a fence with multiple warning signs about dangerous fluctuations near the dam. So I went back to launch at the Marina 3-4 miles down the lake. Any updates on this as far as future plans for a canoe/kayak launch site close to the dam? Thanks

I've said before that the southern end of Indian Lake affords the best canoe access.
Rounding the point on the right from the launch will give you access to the Jessup River arm.
    You will to be sorry.
