7/2/17 Bloody mountain (Hammond Pond WF)

Creeks were high after Saturdays deluge. Surprisingly, trail was fairly dry except for a handful of spots. Found a manageable way across Black Brook.
Bushhwack from Bloody Pond to Bloody mountain was easy enough. Nice views on a sunny, breezy day. Even met a mountain bike on the return. This would be an easy trail for biking - very little rocks and roots.

Love the video of Berrymill Brook falls. They were howling!

Black Brook has always defeated us in our quest for Bloody Pond/Mt. One of these days I'll get there when the water's low enough to make it a "trivial" matter.

Great picts!

Very nice!
Bloody Mountain is also a very fun bushwhack during winter from Pine Pond when you can cross its ice.
