Redhawk?

To all,
I have not seen or heard from Redhawk here on this forum in such a long time ,just wondering if anybody knows how he is? Miss his intelligent and often great experience and thoughts on our travels anywhere.

I also miss his posts, I thoroughly enjoy his experience and ideas about wildlife and human's interaction and relationship (usually dysfunctional in my opinion) with animals and the environment. I was just re-reading a bear thread; and re-read some wise comments regarding interacting with bears.

I've seen a few posts from him on facebook on some of the NPT pages, but they are pretty few & far between. I sent him a friend request a while back to no avail.

Anyone buying Hawk Vittles lately? Is his website still up?

If he got banned, then wouldn't it say "banned" with his name on the forums? I haven't seen that myself in any older posts.

Just checked the site, it's up and running.

With all due respect to the administration and staff of this forum, how could they ban The Last of the Mohicans? Well I know he wasn't Mohican and I do not know a thing about the circumstances and it truly is none of my business, but I miss the old guy too.

Nope - no banning. He has come and gone here before...he'll resurface when he feels the call. This isn't the first time he's gone quiet for a while...

Hawk is a wealth of knowledge - I, too, wish he was around here. But as I mentioned above - hopefully he'll turn up.

He has been spoken about on whiteblaze dot net. The Appalachian Trail hikers are very fond of Hawk Vittles, and I think the most recent post about him was about a year or two ago, so people are purchasing Hawk Vittles and someone must be making and sending them, I suspect it's Redhawk. I have taken his wisdom into account during my AT section hikes.

He's still in business. I emailed him a few months ago when people were asking about him and he got right back to me. I've recently ordered meals from him as well. Please see the link to the thread below.
