Old Field Succession

I've read that there are old field succession areas in the Adirondacks. Can anyone point out any trails that run through these old farmlands? I'm really interested in the pollinators, insects and plants that are in these areas. Or any large fields that you my have come across hiking. Thank You!

The area near the boat launch on RT. 9N north of Bolton comes to mind. This is the area where the trail to Fifth Peak on Tongue Mt. starts. It was once the Alma Farm. There is a historical marker about the farm, and old cemetery, but is now a white pine plantation. I'm not sure if you were looking for natural succession or plantation, but it's a fun area to poke around in.
