Ending my trek last section of NPT

Soon to head out to finish the last section from Long Lake to Lake Placid. Waiting on cooler weather, end of this month.

Hi DuctTape, thanks for your vote. I love watching your videos on Youtube. Great to see you in the ledgers at the lean-to's as well.

I hiked the NPT about 12 years ago. The section from Long Lake to Lake Placid was my favorite section. Loved the Cold River Lean To's. We hiked it in the fall and spend our last night in one of the Lean To's at Duck Hole, back when the pond was there. When the sun rose it was the most beautiful morning I have ever spent in the Dacks. Absolutely stunning the way the sun's rays lit up the ridge on the far side. Remember that morning like it was yesterday. Good luck on your final leg.

I love seeing ppl I know in the lean-to ledgers. One of these days I should start doing my own videos instead if just showing up in those made by others (like justins).

Either way, they are helpful and appealing to watch. I think hiking videos, in general, are the single biggest factor in motivating people locally and nationally in doing more hiking. You can watch and learn about places you have never been to if you choose to do so.

Thanks to Justin and yourself.

Agreed! It is kind of neat to meet folks in the backcountry who recognize me from those videos. There have been a few who stated exactly what you said, they chose the location and decided to try backpacking b/c of the video.
