Has anybody been to Kunjamuk Cave? I would like to know more. This is a photo I found on Google. I would like to know how far is goes in and the hike to it. Thanks

It's not very deep but pretty cool just the same. It would be neat real handy in an electrical storm. We paddled up the Kunkamuk river from Speculator to where there is a bridge that crosses the river. It's a short walk (1/4) mile to the East up the dirt road. I suspect you could drive or hike the dirt road to the cave instead of the canoe or kayak way.

You can drive right up to the cave now... it used to be a walk (back when the land was owned by IP) but now that it's easement the road is open to the public.

Thanks for the infor. I plan on kayaking up the Kunjamuk this year and will plan on checking it out. I have hunted back in there but I must have missed it. It does look neat and plan on getting some pics.

I heard there was a murder at the Kunjamunk Cave a while ago and the person was caught. Does anyone know about this? I found a blog about it but no particulars.
