Overnight parking in Tupper Lake

I'm going to be paddling the Raquette from Long Lake to Tupper Lake soon and I'm wondering about parking at Tupper Lake. We will be dropping a second car of at Tupper for extraction. Is there overnight parking at the DEC boat launch? If not, are there any other suggestions where I can leave my car without getting ticketed or towed?

Thanks!

I wonder if you can park where the old lumber mill was is across from McD's? Its a fishing area and park/ballfield. Lots of people fish at night. Call the town cops and ask.

If the DEC boat launch says no overnight I was considering either McDs or Walgreens in town. Not sure though. I'd like to choose a spot I won't run into any troubles.

It would alter, and shorten, your trip a bit but you could park at the Crusher Run access site on Rt. 3/30 if that would be helpful. It's a DEC boat launch and access site with plenty of room for parking. I haven't used it in a while but did quite a bit when I was guiding.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

The one time when you shouldn't and can't use the Crusher is during the second day of the Adirondack 90-mile canoe race, when it is reserved for canoe transport activity and race official use only. Unfortunately that will not be an issue in 2020.

There's no overnight parking permitted at the Tupper Lake Boat Launch.

Overnight parking is permitted at The Crusher. From what I understand, the paddle between The Crusher and Tupper Lake isn't as nice as Long Lake to the Crusher anyways.

The Long Lake Boat Launch does permit overnight parking- provided that you are doing so for the purpose of camping on state land only.
