Saw one of those ribbon leeches up at 13th lake this past weekend. It was all of 12" long stretched out and swimming. Fast too. First time I saw one. Pretty impressive.

I would certainly join you as I have used my ten footer in class 2 and did fine. It is not just about the boat. Though a good boat can make or break a trip. The paddler has a lot to do with it...
