Beavers aren't always an obstacle to stream travel. If the water is low & you're struggling to keep going, in or out of the boat, and you see a nice substantial dam up ahead, it's a beautiful sight.

I did smile at the stretch with 6 dams. It seemed to be just a bit above High Falls. If they'd gone further there would've been a lot more than 6!

Of course other loops can take more days if you do layover days at some of the nicer lakes. The Whitney loop would work for that. But I don't know how the fishing is on that route.
