For an area with very average features in the Adirondacks Speculator sure is beautiful once you get back in the woods and more remote sections. Great trip to get out in the changing conditions.

Haven't been over that way since New Year so can't speak to current conditions. The trail in winter is doable on snowshoes, but can be a decent effort depending on how much fresh snow is there....
