New NPT Focused Website

Hi all, I've been away for a while but am now back with great news for those who have an interest in hiking the Northville-Placid Trail. I am the webmaster for a new website - - that focuses solely on the Northville-Placid Trail.

I have a page for planning your hike, whether a thru-hike, section-hike or weekend hike. Another page offers latest trail conditions. Another page provides a way for NPT hikers to report trail conditions so that the latest trail conditions can be kept current. Another page provides suggestions for people with an interest in the NPT to help out.

This is your website. I will consider anyone's suggestions and appreciate your comments on improving it. See ya on the trail....Tall Tom

This is good news for the trail as well for us hikers who have traveled on this path less traveled.

Thanks for putting this up. I have never hiked the entirety of the trail, but am planning to do it @ some point in the future. Once I do start serious planning, I'll be visiting!

I would purchase the Adirondack Mountain Club's Guide to the Northville-Placid Trail. It comes with a full fold out paper map of the entire trail, and the guidebook itself is also an essential tool for planning a trip on the NPT.

Additionally, you can purchase the National Geographic Maps for both the High Peaks and the Northville/Raquette Lake regions... these two maps combined cover the entire trail, and are much more durable than the paper ADK map.
