Lyon Pond liming and stocking results?
I saw that the DEC limed Lyon Pond (north of Stillwater) a few years back and then stocked it with brook trout the following year. Does anyone have a pointer to any data on how that project worked out?
I'm interested in both the success of raising the pH and in the ability of the fish to survive. |

I don't know about Lyon specifically, but I've had good success on other limed waters not far from there.

I just talked with a guy from DEC and he said that they didn't quite get the results they were hoping for yet and they were actually planning a second "dose" this month, but weather conditions didn't permit it.
