New boat

I just picked up a 1988 Mansfield by Stowe Canoe...got a great price on it, so had. She's just so beautiful...thought you all would appreciate it! More pics when I get it on the water this week!

It's very pretty work on the inside. Is it just me or is the center of the bottom of the canoe dished in? A canoe with a hogged keel line will be hard to turn and will handle oddly, they sometimes get that way from being stored outside and getting big piles of snow on them or maybe there are other causes that I don't know about. Best of luck with it, either way.

It has a hard keel, so I imagine it's related to exactly what you say about being under pressure, and showing a slight bulge along the centerline. I think with the hard keel it'll track well enough though...we'll see.
