Google earth says the large high peak to the left is Marshall

I should have mentioned that the photo of WF was taken from Lost Pond Peak. The camera was pointing close to due south. And indeed Marshall has that long SW bumpy ridge.

I am super proud of myself now. I figured it was Marshall looking at the topographical map and working out the hump between it and Cold Brook Pass and the little peak in front of it (right under the “I” in “MACINTYRE” on the ADK High Peaks map (15th Ed.)).

Thanks. My first thought was something in Santas, but didn't seem right profile. Seward was next thought, but not right direction and no Seymour. Pic made it look too far away for Marshall, so I was stumped. Mystery solved!
