Beta on BETA (Barkeaters Trail Alliance)

I had the good fortune to meet and talk with Matt McNamara from BETA this past week while at Club Days at EMS in Lake Placid.
I was astounded with the amount of trail work being done by these folks in association with the Adirondack Ski Tourism Council.
All you mountainbikers out there should be excited about what is going on in the area.
Check it out here
"Climbing is about freedom. There's no prize money; there are no gold medals. The mountains are all about going there to do what you want to do. That's why I'll never tell anyone else how to climb. All I can say is, This is how I prefer to do it."

Thanks Jack -

They have a pretty active Facebook page as well, which makes it easier to keep up with them (for me, anyway)
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. Ed Abbey
