Rainbow Day

Today Ross turned 15. He really wanted me to take him smallmouth fishing but they're not up out of Lake Champlain yet in any numbers. So we went after 'bows. Meaty, chunky river 'bows with attitudes.

Ross caught 5, several of them sight fishing with a small nymph. I stuck with a Peacock Bugger (thanks, WB, your fly swap submission is a killer!).

We were home by 10:30, just in time for the UK soccer games. I can't believe my boy is 15!!!

So Ross caught 5 but no mention of how many you caught? That must mean you got outfished again. Very nice pictures and gorgeous fish. Treasure these days--once they're off to college these days get fewer and further between but I'm sure you realize that. Thanks for the post, you add much to this board.

Glad you guys got into the rainbows! Nice healthy chunky ones! Also, very happy my Peacock Wonder Buggers worked for you! Trying to sneak out this week, we`ll see....
