Adirondack scale mountains (Geo-models/Solid Terrain Models)

I have been working on this hobby for a while, and you may have seen these but I thought I'd see what happens here.

I have models of The Marcy group (Marcy, Haystack, Skylight, Redfield. Gray) and also one of Giant and Rocky Ridge. Getting close on a molded version of the Great Range, you can see a custom Great Range below.

Plain white is $20 and if you want one painted we can see if Timmus is available. Her paint jobs make these look fantastic.

Thanks for looking........
Scott

Have you made these so they can be fitted together? A 3-D puzzle of the High Peaks, sort of like a take apart version of the one at the Adirondack Museum.

That walnut model of the Great Range is absolutely gorgeous. I can only imagine what it might look like with a matte, natural oil finish.

I'm almost afraid to ask, thinking about the age-old adage of "if you have to ask you can't affort it." but, do you plan on also offering wood models, and here's the biggie, how much $ ?

I don't plan on having the wood models as a standard offering, because it takes an incredibly long time for the machine to cut it. The Great Range model shown above took approximately 8-1/2 hours to cut the range out. (After the first cut messed up halfway through!)

Maybe if I can justify a higher speed machine in the future.......

Scott, will you cut out a custom area? An area that we pick out?

Hi ADK Hunter. Yeah, just need to give me your corner coordinates, or a center point coordinate. And let me know the map datum your using (WGS84, NAD27, etc). If you dont have this specific info I can get it if you can point me to it on a map, like google maps or something like that.

We can take this offline.....send the info to me at zcases (at) frontiernet (dot) net. I will take a look at it and go from there. What material are you thinking?

Thanks
Scott

PS - anyone know if we really need to worry about robots in here reading email addresses? Is it still a good idea to spell out the "dot" and "at"....seems like the robots would have figured that out by now.........

Great Christmas Presents

I bought 2 of Scott's models last year for Christmas presents. I gave them to my Dad and brother and they were a huge hit. This makes a great gift for folks who love the ADK.
