Lake George & Schroon Lake

Can anyone tell me what the trail onditions might be like in the Lake George and/or Schroon lake areas? Going to have some time up there on Saturday and wanted hike somewhere but don't want to deal with Snow Shoes anymore until next year. Thanks.

I live near North Creek and work in Lake George. South facing slopes are clear for the most part, but there is still plenty of snow in the woods especially as you go north. I skied my cross country trails behind my house last Sunday.

Ended up hiking black mountain. There was more snow than I thought there would be and a lot of water. Overall it was a good time and perfect weather. In some spots a few more trail markers would be helpful. Got off trail a little bit at one point but realized something was wrong after a few minutes.
