Fish Species in the Ponds?
Is there a source where I can learn what fish species are in the specific ponds in the Adirondacks?
I tried different places on the State website and was unsuccessful. |

Do you have certain lakes in mind? If so post and some of us may know.

This year I am considering Little Long Pond, Green Pond, and St Regis Pond.
Would be my first trip to the Adirondacks; have been going to Canada in the past. |

The ALSC data by pond is great but most of it is outdated. A lot has changed in the 30+ years since most ponds were surveyed. Some have gotten better and many have declined. It is a helpful guide nonetheless.

What Stillhunter said x2. Many of the lakes and ponds that state “no fish”, have brook trout in them today. However still great info on depth and lake structure.

Also check the DEC stocking list for Franklin County, that will have the trout species that were stocked for the differant ponds in the St Regis area
