Lmtfa 2021

Currently getting ready for the annual LMTFA spring break 2021. Lots of ideas on the table, but I'll most likely end up in the (south) western Adirondacks somewhere (not 100% by preference, but rather proximity).

All I need to do is choose my location, and what beer I'm going to drink. Big Ditch Hayburner has been a recent favorite. Since I'm in horrible shape I think I'm just going to bring good food, go somewhere close, make a nice fire and cook for a day and a half.

A rare sighting from LMTFA summer tour 2018 (this is a great spot to sit and drink beer btw).

Sure - the LMTFA is subjective. I think this year it applies to my kids

I'll have that dog and a friend from Ohio with me as well. PM or email me for details.

DuctTape reminded me that LMTFA Spring 2015 he and I did a trip to the Gulls in PigLWA.

Unfortunately, my wife went with me for LMTFA Spring 2016 and this resulted in her having triplets 7 months later.

So she's not allowed to come anymore.

I wouldn't necessarily put me and normal in the same sentence but boredom has got the best of me.

I still can't figure out how to post a damn pic correctly on this forum either.

If I took more, and better ones, I probably would have posted more over the years. I didn't take either of the ones above (but I was there!).

I get it, it’s a PITA to photos & videos on this forum, has been for a long time now without going through all the necessary steps first, which seems weird when it’s so easy to do on other internet social media websites similar to this one. But I get it, nothing wrong with keeping things old school.

Yeah, I know.

I kind of quit Facebook... not entirely, but it was even more toxic than the worst forums. I still have my business site and keep in touch with some people on messenger, but I'm trying to stay away. The pandemic, the recent political events and the past election really tore a rift in a lot of people, and me, being who I am, couldn't keep my mouth shut when people would post anti-science propaganda.

I totally get it bro, and I do love the “Block” & “Snooze” feature. Despite all of the negativity being posted over the past year or so, it is nice to have the pages that you enjoy still posting things that you still enjoy without all the BS.
If you get the chance, check out the “Adirondack Backpacking” page. Definitely not the most active outdoor page going but definitely no drama either.

Right, I will. I remember seeing that on here a while back but I got sidetracked and didn’t check this forum much for a while.

It’d be good to meet you and do trip someday.
