Firewood Supplier Near Schroon Lake/North Hudson

Looking for a firewood supplier in the Schroon Lake/North Hudson area (not Stewart’s). Don’t need a lot of it, maybe half a cord tops to stock up the supply for the wood stove at the cabin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a guy that sells it on Rt 9 in North Hudson, north of 74, just south of the Blue Ridge Motel. I've seen him advertise on a local FB group, but don't know details regarding price or quality.

Martin Meade of Brant Lake is also an excellent supplier of firewood. He has both softwood and hardwood, your choice. At times he has also had apple wood or cherry. If you call him today he will be delivering your wood this afternoon. He is fair, he is reliable, and he is reasonable. Send me a private message and I will gladly share his phone number. Last year a cord of seasoned delivered hardwood was $225.

Thanks Dave. That might work also, but I’d probably want to load it into my truck as opposed to having it delivered... The driveway up to the cabin is not plowed out so I’d probably be taking a few trips with my Jet-Sled to haul it all in, or just wait until after the mud season. Hoping to get back up to the cabin next weekend if everything works out. I will send a pm. Thanks again.

Martin Meade will also deliver crushed stone. He gets it from Peckham Materials in Chestertown. He only charges a delivery fee. He gives you the receipt and you pay the amount for the stone plus his fee. The last time called him I got 5 tons of stone and he charged me $45 for delivery. A great deal!
