Indian Pass 1-19-13

last weeks warm weather followed by a few days of sub-zero temps set the stage for ideal XC skiing. last nights 3+ inches of fresh snow was the icing on the cake

Today's destination, Wallface Lean-to from Upper Works. It took us approx (forgot to look at the clock when we started) 5 hrs for the round trip with stops. The first 2 miles to Henderson L2 are very easy. The next .6 miles to WF L2 require a little more skill level but can be done with a little care if your skill level is intermediate. On our way out we met a group of 3 on there way to Henderson L2. Conditions today could not have been any better.

Bitter cold knocking on our door, again!!! Anyone up for a Duck Hole trip from UW once it warms again. Rumor has it 4 guys went in pulling pulks this week, should make for a paved highway

Nice trip. I agree that the conditions are pretty good right now w/ 4" inches of powder on top of the consolidated snow.

I'd like to do the Duck Hole route if I'm free. I've never been in there and it looks like a great route.
