![]() Does anyone have a handle on current ice conditions at Trap Dike? We're looking to ice climb as soon as this weekend, definitely before Christmas.
My understanding is it's likely in, but thin. JackRabbitTrail stated today that the ice on Avalanche Lake is now safe to pass, so I take that as a good sign. Any info is greatly appreciated ![]() |

It might be in thicker than you think. Many climbs in the Chapel Pond area were thick enough to take screws this past weekend.
