Who knew the importance of correctly designed road/stream crossing for wildlife. If aquatic critters can not get up a stream then all the upstream critters will have their genetic variability reduced.

Man made ecological barriers that cause fragmentation. This is a big deal on many scales.

The Underground Railroad: Routes Through the North Country, NY

I was hoping for an in-depth view of the underground rail road specifically in the North Country and African Americans. I wanted like who, what, when and how.The presentation was not that.

But I did find a museum near Ausable chasm that I will be visiting some day!

The talk was nice and I did learn some stuff like Chinese people used the route into America!
